“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future” ― Maria Montessori.

Coming from a finance background with over 10years banking/marketing experience I feel honoured to finally live my passion of being a part of the child’s journey through world exploration, self discovery and ultimately to self-acceptance.

In 2015, I had the privilege of taking a two-year Diploma in Montessori Education from Montessori Centre South Africa (MCSA) after having experienced the warm environment of the Montessori School in Pretoria-South Africa.

I am also privileged to belong to the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), which was founded by Dr. Maria Montessori in 1929 to maintain the integrity of her life’s work and to ensure that her philosophy and approach to education would be carried on as she intended. Dr. Montessori’s goal was to foster the full development of the human being.

As a Montessorian at heart, I am humbled to be accepted as a member of SAMA- South African Montessori Association which is an association constituted with the mandate to unite Montessori professionals by encouraging global best practice in Montessori methodology.

My favourite Montessori quote is “The environment must be rich in motives which lend interest to activity and invite the child to conduct his own experiences.” ― Dr. Maria Montessori.

A word to describe me is “HAPPY”  and I am happy to say that my superpower is “I TEACH MONTESSORI”.

Selasi Ayedzi
Administrative Manager

My name is Selasi Ayedzi. I am currently the Administrator at Bloomings Montessori Plus. I have been involved with Montessori education for over 6 years now.

Through the years, I have garnered experience from serving as an Administrative Assistant, an Executive Assistant, a Library Manager and a media consultant/manager within the Montessori community in Ghana.

No matter where I found myself in the school set-up, I have been guided by the timeless words of  Dr Maria Montessori; “Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavour always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence”

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Ghana. More than anything else I have been thoroughly inspired by the pure joy, love and light children bring with them. I strongly believe every child armed with the shield of a strong foundation would go on and take on the world. Three words that describe me. I am bubbly, energetic and positive.
